Where civil work fits in an interior project

Most interior problems that appear months after handover — cracked walls, damp patches, uneven floors, leaking toilets — start with civil work done poorly or out of sequence. Civil work is the base layer of any fit-out. It includes taking out what no longer works, building what the new layout needs, and preparing surfaces so finishes last. We handle it with the same planning and supervision as the visible interior work, and in the right order: demolition and structural checks first, then masonry and services, then waterproofing and plastering, then flooring and finishes.

What we execute

  • Demolition and dismantling — controlled removal of walls, flooring, ceilings and old fit-outs, with debris cleared under building rules.
  • Masonry and partitions — brick and block walls, AAC blocks, and dry-wall partitions in gypsum or cement board.
  • Plastering and surface preparation — internal and external plaster, POP punning and putty for a level base.
  • Waterproofing — toilets, pantries, terraces and wet areas treated before tiling.
  • Flooring and tiling — vitrified tiles, natural stone, granite, and screed levelling for vinyl or wooden floors.
  • Plumbing and sanitary — water supply and drainage lines, sanitary fixtures, and toilet and pantry renovation.
  • Repairs and upgrades — crack repair, façade touch-ups, ramps, and minor alterations coordinated with a structural engineer where required.

Working in occupied and commercial buildings

Renovation often happens around people who are still working. We plan dust barriers, protect finished areas and lifts, schedule noisy demolition and core cutting within the hours the building allows, and keep debris removal regular so sites stay safe. In commercial towers and malls, we prepare method statements and drawings for building management approvals before starting. Any change to load-bearing walls or slabs is referred to a qualified structural engineer before work proceeds.

Older buildings need extra care. Before quoting a renovation, we check for hidden damp, corroded plumbing, weak plaster and uneven slabs, because these decide whether surfaces can simply be refinished or must be stripped back. Where we find problems, we explain the options and their cost, so you can decide what to fix now and what can wait. For clinics, pantries and toilets, we give particular attention to drainage slopes and waterproofing, since leaks there are the most disruptive to repair later.

Quality control and cost

Civil work gets covered up quickly, so our site coordinator checks each stage before the next begins: wall alignment and plumb, plaster levels, waterproofing flood tests in wet areas, slopes to drains and tile joints. Cost depends on the extent of demolition, wall area, waterproofing and plumbing scope, flooring type, site access and debris disposal. Quotations are itemised by work item and measured quantity, so you can compare them easily.

Civil work is most effective when planned with the interior design. See our turnkey interior fit-out and office interiors services, or request a site assessment.

Process

How we deliver it

Process in detail
  1. Brief & site/stand survey

We understand your objectives, audience, budget and deadline, study the organiser manual or site conditions, and confirm the measurements that everything else depends on.

  2. 3D concept & itemised quote

Our in-house designers produce layouts and photo-realistic 3D views with a line-by-line quotation — materials, graphics, AV, furniture — so you approve exactly what will be built.

  3. Engineering & approvals

Production drawings, structural details for double-deckers, electrical loads and organiser or landlord submissions are prepared and cleared before a single panel is cut.

  4. In-house fabrication

Carpentry, metalwork, paint, laminates and graphics are produced at our Greater Noida West and Bhiwandi units, then pre-assembled and checked before dispatch.

  5. Logistics & installation

Our own crew transports, installs, wires and finishes on site under one supervisor, working to the venue build-up window or your site schedule.

  6. Handover, support & dismantling

We hand over a snag-free space, stay on call during the show or first weeks of occupation, and dismantle, store or reuse components afterwards.

FAQs

Civil Work & Renovation: common questions

What civil work do you handle?

We handle demolition, masonry and dry-wall partitions, plastering and surface preparation, waterproofing, flooring and tiling, plumbing and sanitary work, and repairs. Civil work can be taken as a standalone package or as part of a turnkey interior project.

Do you carry out renovation in occupied buildings?

Yes. We plan dust barriers, protect lifts and finished areas, schedule noisy demolition within the hours the building allows and remove debris regularly. In commercial towers and malls, we prepare the method statements and drawings building management needs before starting.

Can you remove or alter walls?

Yes, with the right checks. Non-structural walls and partitions can be removed or rebuilt to suit a new layout. Any change to load-bearing walls, columns or slabs is referred to a qualified structural engineer before work proceeds, and building approvals are obtained where required.

How do you ensure civil work quality?

Our site coordinator inspects each stage before it is covered, checking wall alignment, plaster levels, waterproofing flood tests in wet areas, slopes to drains and tile joints. Correct sequencing of civil, services and finishes avoids rework and the problems that often appear months after handover.

How is civil and renovation work priced?

Civil work is priced by work item and measured quantity, based on the extent of demolition, wall and plaster area, waterproofing and plumbing scope, flooring type, site access and debris disposal. Our itemised quotations make it easy to compare and to adjust scope before work begins.
